Caring for gel nails
- Book an infill every 3–4 weeks – regrowth shifts the nail's balance and makes breaks more likely.
- Use cuticle oil daily – your nails look fresh and cuticles stay soft.
- Wear gloves when cleaning and don't use your nails as tools.
- Never peel or cut off gel yourself – book a removal so the nail isn't damaged.
- Broken a nail? We can repair a single nail – no need to wait for your infill.
Frequently asked questions
How long do gel nails last?
The set is durable, but nails grow – we recommend an infill every 3–4 weeks.
What does length 2–5 mean?
It's the length scale we use in the studio: 2 is the shortest extension, 5 is very long nails. Price and time increase with length. We'll choose the length together at the consultation.
Does gel damage natural nails?
Not when it's applied and removed correctly. Peeling off gel and leaving too long between infills cause the most damage.
Can you do an infill of gel from another salon?
Yes. We'll check the set – if the structure is correct we'll do an infill, if not we'll suggest a new set.
